October 23 2023
A total of 45 JMA Mexico employees took part in the race and scored a double win.
The Bimbo Race––with 3-, 5- and 10-kilometre routes––was held on 24 September 2023 in the city of Zapopan, in the state of Jalisco in Mexico. The event gathered a total of 12,000 participants, including 45 in 7 categories from the JMA – Llaves Altuna de México team.
The result was excellent: on the whole, two JMA Mexico employees stood on the podium. Javier Antonio Hernández secured first place overall in the Men’s Open category between 35 and 39 years. Meanwhile, in the Women’s Masters category between 40 and 44 years, Ericka del Ángel Hernández won third place and also reached the winners’ podium. Congratulations!
A day to celebrate
JMA would like to thank and congratulate all members of staff who participated in the race and demonstrated perseverance and tremendous commitment. Although all the participants competed for victory, it is worth highlighting the strong sense of camaraderie surrounding the event, making the day a day to celebrate.
The JMA team first came together in 2018 and the number of participants has been growing year after year. Although the events came to an abrupt stop during the pandemic, the team was reactivated in 2023 and is now stronger than ever, proud to have had over 20% of the JMA Mexico’s employees participate in the event. This reinforces JMA’s commitment to sport and its promotion among its workforce, resulting in a healthier lifestyle.
