JMA is launching an “ODS DISTIRA” Pb-Free Industrial Research Project alongside Altuna Metal Works to eliminate lead from their raw materials and to research micro-polishing processes

“ODS & DISTIRA” seeks to gain new scientific and technological knowledge aimed at eliminating lead from the steel and brass in products from JMA and AMW, as well as to gain new scientific and technological knowledge on surface super finishing for their products. The goal is to anticipate the more advanced demands of major multinational clients by developing a springboard for future competitiveness, distinctiveness and greater added value for our company while also making progress towards achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This project is being supported by aid from the Basque government under the call for applications from the HAZITEK Business R&D Support Programme being run by the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructures of the Regional Government of the Basque Country, which is partially funded through the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF).
